A book titled "Grace Remains: A Collection of Poems" by W. M. Sutton, featuring a landscape painting of a river flowing through mountains, with trees, flowers, and a sunrise or sunset sky.

Grace Remains has been a work in progress for about 10 years when I really began collecting my poetry. The book is divided into 5 different section headings titled:

Roots, Storms, Reflections, Transformation, and Flight

There are 66 poems in total. Many of the poems are centered on faith but not all. As you read through each section, I hope you see a journey of faith that has matured through all of its ups and downs. You may read some of these poems and they step on your toes a bit. Some may make you say, “wow, that was harsh.” Others may remind you of your own journey in some way. There may be some that you disagree with or that illicit different opinions, and that’s okay. Truth be told, I hope you experience all of these things.

Many of these poems were written after doing a lot of my own introspection and self examination and seeing so many of my own shortcomings. I hope these cause you to do the same because in looking at ourselves, we mature and we grow. God has been faithful and He will forever be. This book is a reflection of His faithfulness and a celebration of His grace that we do not deserve and could never earn. Through profound grief, overwhelming joy, anger, and love, Grace Remains will always be a fitting reminder for us all.
