If I Say “I Love You”

The bible tells us many times how we are to love one another especially those that we call brothers and sisters in Christ. As I thought about this, I also thought of how we share Jesus with those who do not know him. What do we tell them about him? If we truly believe that they will spend eternity in hell if they do not repent and believe, wouldn’t it be the most unloving thing we could do if we failed to tell them of his wrath as well as his love? Yes, he is most definitely a God that loves us. But he also judges us… impartially. Believers and unbelievers alike will be judged (1 Peter 1:17). So if we truly love someone, we would be most burdened to tell them the truth about God. He hates sin. It cannot exist in his presence. It cannot reside in our lives or our hearts. We will stumble at times, but we cannot let it live within us. If you love someone, the most loving thing you can do is to share with them the love and wrath of God.
