Where Do I Fit In?

Ladies, I know this is something we have all asked. Perhaps not out loud but certainly in our thoughts. We struggle with the mundane of everyday life at times. This poem was inspired by those moments. We have so much under our care and what seems like so little time for ourselves. We feel pushed and pulled in all directions with not enough of us to pull apart. This was especially true for me during the days of working full time, tending to the home, trying to be a mom and wife that was present and trying to be an obedient Christian woman. I put so much pressure on myself but you know what…I forgot that in Christ I am free! Not free from duty or obligation but free from worry, anxiety, pressure, judgement, wrath, and uncertainty. One of my favorite verses in the bible comes from Isaiah 25:1 and it says, “Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago.”

What a comfort reading that line, “things planned long ago.” Not just planned, but planned in God’s PERFECT faithfulness! How encouraging and peaceful! Our path is clear. Our steps are guided. Our future is sure if we trust and put our faith in the Lord. We fit perfectly in His arms and we are carried through the chaos.
