The Gospel

I wrote this poem because I had a preacher at one time who ended every sermon with a brief presentation of the gospel. He would tell us that the gospel wasn’t just for lost people. It was just as centrally important for believers to be continually reminded of it. We all became so familiar with it that we could all recite it. It was engrained in our thoughts and our on our hearts. I am thankful for that. If you are not a believer, I hope this poem tells you of a God who loves you and can save you. If you are a believer, I hope it stirs your heart to remembrance of what Jesus did for you and how that should shape every facet of your life. Without the cross, there is no salvation. Without the blood, there is no redemption. There is no one beyond Christ’s reach and no one too far gone to be redeemed.
