It Makes Sense

This poem was inspired when reading from the book of Psalms. The verse itself cuts pretty deep.

“As in water, face reflects face, so the heart of man reflects the man.” Psalm 4:23

Our heart and the outward expression of that, reveals who we really are. It reflects all the things we try to hide. Scripture tells us that once we put our faith in Christ, we should naturally produce symbolic “fruit” in our lives. You cannot come to know the Lord and not change. That is impossible. You will speak differently, think differently, behave differently, love differently, and live differently. Nothing will be the same. You are being called toward holiness and away from sin so things should not remain as they were. Our lives and the way we live them reveal the true condition of our heart.
